CIMC, founded in 1982, is a Chinese public listed company that employs 50.000 people in 60 branches worldwide. CIMC is the world market leader in the field of ISO containers and sells, develops and produces box, reefer, special, and tank containers.
Besides ISO-containers CIMC is also active in the market of road transport equipment, stationary tanks for cryogen and high pressure gases and passenger bridges for airports. CIMC has built up in the last 4 years a strong position in China, Europe and America through autonomous growth and specific acquisitions. In the year 2007 about 110.000 units will be produced by CIMC worldwide, which makes CIMC, in numbers, the largest producer in the world.
